Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 recipe Pesto Sauce
Directions
1.
Prepare
the
water
for
the
spaghetti
according
to
the
manufacturer's
instructions.
2.
While
waiting
for
the
water
for
the
pasta
to
boil,
prepare
the
Pesto
Sauce.
3.
Cook
the
pasta
according
to
the
manufacturer's
instructions.
When
the
pasta
has
finished
cooking,
drain
off
most
of
the
cooking
water,
leaving
approximately
1
cup
of
cooking
water
in
reserve.
4.
Place
the
drained
pasta
onto
a
serving
dish,
pour
the
pesto
sauce
over
the
pasta
and
toss
thoroughly
to
coat
all
of
the
pasta
in
the
sauce.
If
the
sauce
is
too
thick,
add
a
bit
of
the
reserved
cooking
water
to
the
dish
and
toss
well.
Top
with
additional
grated
pecorino
romano
and
serve.
Notes
Parmigiano
Reggiano
cheese
can
be
substituted
for
the
pecorino
in
this
dish.
