Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Peel of 1/4 of a lemon
Directions
1.
In a
sauce
pan,
whisk
the
eggs
and
sugar
until
well
combined.
Over
medium
heat,
whisk
in
the
milk
and
flour.
Add
the
vanilla,
cinnamon
stick
and
lemon
peel.

Continue
whisking
the
mixture
over
medium
heat
until
it
thickens
to a
dense
cream
consistency
and
no
clumps
of
flour
are
left,
approximately
8 -
10
minutes.
Adjust
the
heat
as
necessary
so
that
the
mixture
does
not
stick
to
and/or
burn
on
the
bottom
of
the
pan.
3.
Once
the
mixture
is
cooked,
remove
the
pan
from
the
heat
and
discard
the
cinnamon
stick
and
lemon
peel.
All
the
cream
to
cool
for
at
least
30
minutes
and
then
it
is
ready
to
use
in
your
favorite
desserts.
