Ingredients
- 1 medium loaf rustic bread
- 2 medium cloves garlic, peeled
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
Directions
1.
Cut
the
loaf
of
bread
into
1/2
inch
thick
slices.
2.
There
are
several
ways
to
toast
the
bruschette:
a.
If
you
are
using
the
oven,
preheat
the
oven
to
450
degrees.
Place
the
bread
slices
on a
baking
sheet
lined
with
parchment
paper.
Put
the
baking
sheet
in
the
oven
on
the
top
rack
and
bake
for
4
minutes
on
each
side
or
until
toasted
to a
golden
brown.
b.
Preheat
a
grill
pan
or
grill.
Place
the
bread
on
the
grill
for
about
30
seconds
to 1
minute
on
either
side
until
toasted
to a
golden
brown.
c.
Place
the
bread
slices
in a
toaster
and
toast
to a
golden
brown.
3.
Once
all
of
the
bread
is
toasted,
take
one
clove
of
garlic
and
rub
it
across
one
side
of
each
slice
of
bread.
The
clove
will
gradually
wear
down
as
you
rub
it
over
the
slices.
Use
the
second
clove
of
garlic
if
you
use
the
entire
first
clove.
4.
Drizzle
all
slices
of
bread
with
a
small
amount
of
olive
oil
and
a
small
pinch
of
salt.
5.
Serve
hot.
